1.後來摩西亞倫去對法老說:耶和華以色列的神這樣說:容我的百姓去,在曠野向我守節。
Afterwards Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival to me in the desert.'"
3.他們說:希伯來人的神遇見了我們,求你容我們往曠野去,走三天的路程,祭祀耶和華我們的神,免得他用瘟疫、刀兵,攻擊我們。
Then they said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Now let us take a three-day journey into the desert to offer sacrifices to the LORD our God, or he may strike us with plagues or with the sword."
22.摩西回到耶和華那裏說:主阿,你為甚麼苦待這百姓呢?為甚麼打發我去呢?
Moses returned to the LORD and said, “O Lord, why have you brought trouble upon this people? Is this why you sent me?
23.自從我去見法老奉你的名說話,他就苦待這百姓,你一點也沒有拯救他們。
Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble upon this people, and you have not rescued your people at all."

5.如此好叫他們信耶和華他們祖宗的神,就是亞伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神,是向你顯現了。
“This," said the LORD, “is so that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers–the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob–has appeared to you."
11.耶和華對他說:誰造人的口呢?誰使人口啞、耳聾、目明、眼瞎呢?豈不是我耶和華麼?
The LORD said to him, “Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD?
12.現在去罷,我必賜你口才,指教你所當說的話。
Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say."
14.耶和華向摩西發怒說:不是有你的哥哥利未人亞倫麼?我知道他是能言的,現在他出來迎接你,他一見你心裏就歡喜。
Then the LORD’s anger burned against Moses and he said, “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and his heart will be glad when he sees you.
15.你要將當說的話傳給他,我也要賜你和他口才,又要指教你們所當行的事。
You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth; I will help both of you speak and will teach you what to do.
16.他要替你對百姓說話,你要以他當作口,他要以你當作神。
He will speak to the people for you, and it will be as if he were your mouth and as if you were God to him.
17.你手裏要拿這杖,好行神蹟。
But take this staff in your hand so that you can perform miraculous signs with it."
19.耶和華在米甸對摩西說:你要回埃及去,因為尋索你命的人都死了。
Now the LORD had said to Moses in Midian, “Go back to Egypt, for all the men who wanted to kill you are dead."
20.摩西就帶著妻子和兩個兒子,叫他們騎上驢回埃及地去;摩西手裏拿著神的杖。
So Moses took his wife and sons, put them on a donkey and started back to Egypt. And he took the staff of God in his hand.
21.耶和華對摩西說:你回到埃及的時候要留意,將我指示你的一切奇事,行在法老面前,但我要使他的心剛硬,他必不容百姓去。
The LORD said to Moses, “When you return to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders I have given you the power to do. But I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go.
22.你要對法老說:耶和華這樣說:以色列是我的兒子,我的長子;
Then say to Pharaoh, ‘This is what the LORD says: Israel is my firstborn son,
23.我對你說過,容我的兒子去好事奉我,你還是不肯容他去,看哪,我要殺你的長子。
and I told you, “Let my son go, so that he may worship me." But you refused to let him go; so I will kill your firstborn son.'"
27.耶和華對亞倫說:你往曠野去迎接摩西,他就去,在神的山遇見摩西和他親嘴。
The LORD said to Aaron, “Go into the desert to meet Moses." So he met Moses at the mountain of God and kissed him.
28.摩西將耶和華打發他所說的言語,和囑咐他所行的神蹟,都告訴了亞倫。
Then Moses told Aaron everything the LORD had sent him to say, and also about all the miraculous signs he had commanded him to perform.
29.摩西亞倫就去招聚以色列的眾長老。
Moses and Aaron brought together all the elders of the Israelites,
30.亞倫將耶和華對摩西所說的一切話,述說了一遍,又在百姓眼前行了那些神蹟。
and Aaron told them everything the LORD had said to Moses. He also performed the signs before the people,
31.百姓就信了;以色列人聽見耶和華眷顧他們、鑒察他們的困苦,就低頭下拜。
and they believed. And when they heard that the LORD was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshipped.

2.耶和華的使者從荊棘裏火燄中向摩西顯現;摩西觀看,不料,荊棘被火燒著,卻沒有燒燬。
There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.
5.神說:不要近前來,當把你腳上的鞋脫下來,因為你所站之地是聖地;
“Do not come any closer," God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground."
6.又說:我是你父親的神,是亞伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神。摩西蒙上臉,因為怕看神。
Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob." At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.
7.耶和華說:我的百姓在埃及所受的困苦,我實在看見了;他們因受督工的轄制所發的哀聲,我也聽見了;我原知道他們的痛苦。
The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.
8.我下來是要救他們脫離埃及人的手,領他們出了那地,到美好寬闊流奶與蜜之地,就是到迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之地。
So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey–the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.
9.現在以色列人的哀聲達到我耳中,我也看見埃及人怎樣欺壓他們。
And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them.
10.故此我要打發你去見法老,使你可以將我的百姓以色列人從埃及領出來。
So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt."
12.神說:我必與你同在,你將百姓從埃及領出來之後,你們必在這山上事奉我,這就是我打發你去的證據。
And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain."
14.神對摩西說:我是自有永有的;又說:你要對以色列人這樣說:那自有的打發我到你們這裏來。
God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.'"
15.神又對摩西說:你要對以色列人這樣說:耶和華你們祖宗的神,就是亞伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神,打發我到你們這裏來;耶和華是我的名,直到永遠,這也是我的記念,直到萬代。
God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers–the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob–has sent me to you.’ This is my name for ever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.
16.你去招聚以色列的長老,對他們說:耶和華你們祖宗的神,就是亞伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神,向我顯現,說:我實在眷顧了你們,我也看見埃及人怎樣待你們。
“Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers–the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob–appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt.
17.我也說:要將你們從埃及的困苦中領出來,往迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人的地去,就是到流奶與蜜之地。
And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites–a land flowing with milk and honey.’
20.我必伸手,在埃及中間,施行我一切的奇事,攻擊那地;然後他纔容你們去。
So I will stretch out my hand and strike the Egyptians with all the wonders that I will perform among them. After that, he will let you go.
21.我必叫你們在埃及人眼前蒙恩,你們去的時候,就不至於空手而去。
“And I will make the Egyptians favourably disposed towards this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed.

10.孩子漸長,婦人把他帶到法老的女兒那裏,就作了他的兒子;他給孩子起名叫摩西,意思說:因我把他從水裏拉出來。
When the child grew older, she took him to Pharaoh’s daughter and he became her son. She named him Moses, saying, “I drew him out of the water."
23.過了多年,埃及王死了;以色列人因作苦工,就歎息哀求,他們的哀聲達於神。
During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God.
24.神聽見他們的哀聲,就記念他與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約。
God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob.
25.神看顧以色列人,也知道他們的苦情。
So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.

17.但是收生婆敬畏神,不照埃及王的吩咐行,竟存留男孩的性命。
The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live.
20.神厚待收生婆;以色列人多起來,極其強盛。
So God was kind to the midwives and the people increased and became even more numerous.
21.收生婆因為敬畏神,神便叫他們成立家室。
And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

17.你們要對約瑟這樣說:從前你哥哥們惡待你,求你饒恕他們的過犯,和罪惡;如今求你饒恕你父親神之僕人的過犯;他們對約瑟說這話,約瑟就哭了。
‘This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father." When their message came to him, Joseph wept.
18.他的哥哥們又來俯伏在他面前說:我們是你的僕人。
His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. “We are your slaves," they said.
19.約瑟對他們說:不要害怕,我豈能代替神呢?
But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?
20.從前你們的意思是要害我,但神的意思原是好的,要保全許多人的性命,成就今日的光景;
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
21.現在你們不要害怕,我必養活你們,和你們的婦人、孩子;於是約瑟用親愛的話安慰他們。
So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children." And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.
24.約瑟對他弟兄們說:我要死了,但神必定看顧你們,領你們從這地上去,到他起誓所應許給亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之地。
Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die. But God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land to the land he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob."
25.約瑟叫以色列的子孫起誓,說:神必定看顧你們,你們要把我的骸骨從這裏搬上去。
And Joseph made the sons of Israel swear an oath and said, “God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up from this place."

3.流便哪,你是我的長子,是我力量強壯的時候生的,本當大有尊榮,權力超眾;
“Reuben, you are my firstborn,
my might, the first sign of my strength,
excelling in honour, excelling in power.
4.但你放縱情慾,滾沸如水,必不得居首位,因為你上了你父親的牀,汙穢了我的榻。
Turbulent as the waters, you will no longer excel,
for you went up onto your father’s bed,
onto my couch and defiled it.
5.西緬和利未是弟兄,他們的刀劍是殘忍的器具。
“Simeon and Levi are brothers–
their swords are weapons of violence.
6.我的靈阿,不要與他們同謀,我的心哪,不要與他們聯絡,因為他們趁怒殺害人命,任意砍斷牛腿大筋;
Let me not enter their council,
let me not join their assembly,
for they have killed men in their anger
and hamstrung oxen as they pleased.
7.他們的怒氣暴烈可咒;他們的忿恨殘忍可詛;我要使他們分居在雅各家裏,散住在以色列地中。
Cursed be their anger, so fierce,
and their fury, so cruel!
I will scatter them in Jacob
and disperse them in Israel.
8.猶大阿,你弟兄們必讚美你,你手必掐住仇敵的頸項,你父親的兒子們必向你下拜。
“Judah, your brothers will praise you;
your hand will be on the neck of your enemies;
your father’s sons will bow down to you.
9.猶大是個小獅子;我兒阿,你抓了食便上去;你屈下身去,臥如公獅,蹲如母獅,誰敢惹你?
Your are a lion’s cub, O Judah;
you return from the prey, my son.
Like a lion he crouches and lies down,
like a lioness–who dares to rouse him?
10.圭必不離猶大,杖必不離他兩腳之間,直等細羅來到,萬民都必歸順。
The sceptre will not depart from Judah,
nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,
until he comes to whom it belongs
and the obedience of the nations is his.
11.猶大把小驢拴在葡萄樹上,把驢駒拴在美好的葡萄樹上,他在葡萄酒中洗了衣服,在葡萄汁中洗了袍褂。
He will tether his donkey to a vine,
his colt to the choicest branch;
he will wash his garments in wine,
his robes in the blood of grapes.
12.他的眼睛必因酒紅潤,他的牙齒必因奶白亮。
His eyes will be darker than wine,
his teeth whiter than milk.
13.西布倫必住在海口,必成為停船的海口;他的境界必延到西頓。
“Zebulun will live by the seashore
and become a haven for ships;
his border will extend towards Sidon.
14.以薩迦是個強壯的驢,臥在羊圈之中;
“Issachar is a scrawny donkey
lying down between two saddlebags.
15.他以安靜為佳,以肥地為美,便低肩背重,成為服苦的僕人。
When he sees how good is his resting place
and how pleasant is his land,
he will bend his shoulder to the burden
and submit to forced labour.
16.但必判斷他的民,作以色列支派之一。
“Dan will provide justice for his people
as one of the tribes of Israel.
17.但必作道上的蛇、路中的虺,咬傷馬蹄,使騎馬的墜落於後。
Dan will be a serpent by the roadside,
a viper along the path,
that bites the horse’s heels
so that its rider tumbles backwards.
18.耶和華阿,我向來等候你的救恩。
“I look for your deliverance. O LORD.
19.迦得必被敵軍追逼,他卻要追逼他們的腳跟。
“Gad will be attacked by a band of raiders,
but he will attack them at their heels.
20.亞設之地必出肥美的糧食,且出君王的美味。
“Asher’s food will be rich;
he will provide delicacies fit for a king.
21.拿弗他利是被釋放的母鹿,他出嘉美的言語。
“Naphtali is a doe set free
that bears beautiful fawns.
22.約瑟是多結果子的樹枝,是泉旁多結果的枝子,他的枝條探出牆外。
“Joseph is a fruitful vine,
a fruitful vine near a spring,
whose branches climb over a wall.
23.弓箭手將他苦害,向他射箭,逼迫他;
With bitterness archers attacked him;
they shot at him with hostility.
24.但他的弓仍舊堅硬,他的手健壯敏捷;這是因以色列的牧者,以色列的磐石,就是雅各的大能者;
But his bow remained steady,
his strong arms stayed supple,
because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob,
because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,
25.你父親的神必幫助你,那全能者,必將天上所有的福,地裏所藏的福,以及生產乳養的福,都賜給你。
because of your father’s God, who helps you,
because of the Almighty, who blesses you
with blessings of the heavens above,
blessings of the deep that lies below,
blessings of the breast and womb.
26.你父親所祝的福,勝過我祖先所祝的福,如永世的山嶺、至極的邊界,這些福必降在約瑟的頭上,臨到那與弟兄迥別之人的頂上。
Your father’s blessings are greater
than the blessings of the ancient mountains,
than the bounty of the age-old hills.
Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,
on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
27.便雅憫是個撕掠的狼,早晨要喫他所抓的,晚上要分他所奪的。
“Benjamin is a ravenous wolf;
in the morning he devours the prey,
in the evening he devides the plunder."
28.這一切是以色列的十二支派;這也是他們的父親對他們所說的話,為他們所祝的福,都是按著各人的福分,為他們祝福。
All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them, giving each the blessing appropriate to him.

3.雅各對約瑟說:全能的神曾在迦南地的路斯向我顯現,賜福與我。
Jacob said to Joseph, “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and there he blessed me
4.對我說:我必使你生養眾多,成為多民,又要把這地賜給你的後裔,永遠為業。
and said to me, ‘I am going to make you fruitful and will increase your numbers. I will make you a community of peoples, and I will give this land as an everlasting possession to your descendants after you.’
11.以色列對約瑟說:我想不到得見你的面,不料,神又使我得見你的兒子。
Israel said to Joseph, “I never expected to see your face again, and now God has allowed me to see your children too."
15.他就給約瑟祝福,說:願我祖亞伯拉罕,和我父以撒所事奉的神,就是一生牧養我直到今日的神
Then he blessed Joseph and said,
“May the God before whom my fathers
Abraham and Isaac walked,
the God who has been my shepherd
all my life to this day,
16.救贖我脫離一切患難的那使者,賜福與這兩個童子,願他們歸在我的名下,和我祖亞伯拉罕,我父以撒的名下,又願他們在世界中生養眾多。
the Angel who has delivered me from all harm
–may he bless these boys.
May they be called by my name
and the names of my fathers
Abraham and Isaac,
and may they increase greatly
upon the earth."
21.以色列又對約瑟說:我要死了,但神必與你們同在,領你們回到你們列祖之地。
Then Israel said to Joseph, “I am about to die, but God will be with you and take you back to the land of your fathers.

9.雅各對法老說:我寄居在世的年日是一百三十歲,我平生的年日又少,又苦,不及我列祖在世寄居的年日。
And Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty. My years have been few and difficult, and they do not equal the years of the pilgrimage of my fathers."
12.約瑟用糧食奉養他父親,和他弟兄,並他父親全家的眷屬,都是照各家的人口奉養他們。
Joseph also provided his father and his brothers and all his father’s household with food, according to the number of their children.
29.以色列的死期臨近了,他就叫了他兒子約瑟來,說:我若在你眼前蒙恩,請你把手放在我大腿底下,用慈愛和誠實待我,請你不要將我葬在埃及;
When the time drew near for Israel to die, he called for his son Joseph and said to him, “If I have found favour in your eyes, put your hand under my thigh and promise that you will show me kindness and faithfulness. Do not bury me in Egypt,
30.我與我祖我父同睡的時候,你要將我帶出埃及,葬在他們所葬的地方。約瑟說:我必遵著你的命而行。
but when I rest with my fathers, carry me out of Egypt and bury me where they are buried."
31.雅各說:你要向我起誓,約瑟就向他起了誓,於是以色列在牀頭上敬拜神。
“I will do as you say," he said.
“Swear to me," he said. Then Joseph swore to him, and Israel worshipped as he leaned on the top of his staff.

1.以色列帶著一切所有的,起身來到別是巴,就獻祭給他父親以撒的神。
So Israel set out with all that was his, and when he reached Beersheba, he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
2.夜間神在異象中對以色列說:雅各,雅各;他說:我在這裏。
And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said, “Jacob! Jacob!"
“Here I am," he replied.
3.神說:我是神,就是你父親的神,你下埃及去不要害怕,因為我必使你在那裏成為大族。
“I am God, the God of your father," he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there.
4.我要和你同下埃及去,也必定帶你上來,約瑟必給你送終。
I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again. And Joseph’s own hand will close your eyes."
30.以色列對約瑟說:我既得見你的面,知道你還在,就是死我也甘心。
Israel said to Joseph, “Now I am ready to die, since I have seen for myself that you are still alive."
